Serving Children in Foster Care

Where do these grants come from?

Throughout Scripture, we hear God’s heart for the church to care for orphans. Psalm 68:6 says, “God provides homes for those who are deserted.”

We have a calling to care for children in need of a loving, caring home. Through the generous giving of Oklahoma Baptists to the Edna McMillan State Missions Offering, grants are provided to Oklahoma Baptist churches as a reimbursement for fulfilled CarePortal requests through 111Project.

Resources

111Project

111Project exists to mobilize the local Church so that no child is without a family. 1 Church, 1 Family, for 1 Purpose could change everything!

Care Portal

In every community, there are children and families at a point of crisis, who need help. In those same communities, there are churches and people who care and want to take action. But what they need is a connection point.

If you have recently fulfilled a CarePortal request and are seeking a grant for reimbursement, please fill out the form below:

Through the Edna McMillan State Missions Offering, Oklahoma Baptists may apply for reimbursement of up to $300 once a year of a fulfilled Care Portal request. Reimbursement applications must be made within 30 days of answering the Care Portal request. Any amount given from the church above the requested amount must be funded by the church. If the amount is greater than the requested need, please ask the requesting agency to update the request.
