Wellness & Crisis Care

"The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; he cares for those who take refuge in him." Nahum 1:7

As pastors and church staff, the role you play is vital to the congregation. However, amid serving others, it is easy to neglect your own well-being. Scripture reminds us that our physical, emotional, and spiritual health are deeply interconnected. Even Jesus took time away to rest and refresh. As His followers, we are invited to do the same. Rest is not a luxury but a necessity for sustainable ministry and in preventing burn out. Our goal is to provide resources and assistance to help everyone achieve a healthy life that Christ desires for us.

Physical Wellness: The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and it is important to honor it by maintaining physical health. Regular rest, exercise, and nourishment are key factors for maintaining strength in ministry.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV)
Emotional Wellness: Ministry, at times, can be emotionally taxing, but God calls us to cast our cares on Him. It’s important for you to seek support when needed and to take time for self-care.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)
Spiritual Wellness: Spiritual nourishment is the foundation for enduring in ministry. Regular time in prayer, reading Scripture, and seeking God’s guidance is necessary for spiritual vitality. In your ministry, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Make time for personal devotion to stay grounded in God’s Word and to be refueled spiritually.
“But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13 NIV)
