In order for us to design for you, you must first have a few things:
Time – Projects take time, please help us out in this by making sure we have plenty of lead time. A helpful guide might be 4 weeks for 1-3 pieces. If you are looking at more than 3 pieces or an item such as a book please allow for 2-6 months.
Ideas – Please come to the table with at least a general idea of what you would like to this project to look like upon completion.
Text/Copy – These are the words that you want to say. The who, what, where, and when. We would love to see this upfront, proofed, and error free. (It will save time and money in the long run.)
Photos/Visuals – If you have some, great! If not, we can help. Please ensure that any you bring to the table are royalty free or licensed for convention use.
Color Scheme – Do you have a color scheme? Are we matching any pieces you already have?
Money – Each project will require different resources and expenses. Here’s an example that will help you understand your design cost. Ex. Most of our designers charge between $30-50 per hour. For basic projects (1 piece) look to budget a minimum of 3-6 design hours. For projects that involve several pages or 2-4 pieces look to budget between 7-15 design hours. For events, large books, or labor intense pieces look to spend upwards of 20+ design hours.
