English as a Second Language (ESL)
English as a Second Language Hybrid Workshop
In this hybrid format for the training, participants work at their own pace over the course of one month, learning much of the workshop content by reading the manual and going through the interactive online lessons. After the online component, participants attend a live session together in which they learn practical skills needed for ESL ministry.
Online component: Wednesday, July 29–Thursday, August 27 (Individuals have the flexibility to actually begin the coursework as late as August 6, still completing the online work by August 27.)
Live component: Saturday, August 29, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 N. Council Road, Bethany, OK
Upon successfully completing both the online and live components, participants will receive a certificate from the North American Mission Board/Send Relief.
This training is great for participants who have basic computer literacy skills and are self-motivated! Please note that the online course does not operate correctly on a phone, so participants will need to complete the work on a computer.

Workshop registration cost: $40, which includes snacks and lunch during the August 29 live session.
A workshop manual is required – a digital copy may be downloaded for free; or a hard copy can be purchased through FedEx for $14-$16 (Registrants will be provided with information about how to download or how to order.)
